Popular Culture

Personal interests tend to creep in and influence most creative practitioners and a life long passion for cinema and science fiction led to the development of a unique exhibition relating to childhood, cinema, and popular culture. Titled ‘Star Wars and me’ the exhibtion includes a vast range of memorabilia from the early Star Wars films as well as a wide range of items from other science fiction cinema and television of the seventies. The exhibition has gone on show twice attracting large and appreciative audiences.

A number of similar popular culture initiatives are also under development.

Theatre

Having trained in theatre design Joe Robinson continues to deliver theatre and spectacle in larger works but also direct pieces of small scale theatre and performance. The Moon Rat street performance, a museum puppet show and a hugely popular interative show ‘The Troll that Ate Children’ are three recent pieces of work.
